Focus on the Mid Beds Website

www.midbeds.gov.uk is Mid Beds District Council’s official website for local people to use to access our services from home or work twenty-four hours a day. It already receives over 45,000 visits a month but Mid Beds wants to encourage more people to use it and for those who do visit it to use it more.

In April Mid Beds are holding interactive workshops at their Priory House offices to find out why local people either do, or do not, use their online services. This will give them the opportunity to try their website themselves and to meet the Mid Beds web-team and tell them what they like and don’t like about it.

Each session will last about one and a half hours and includes using laptops to access and explore the Mid Beds website. During the session those attending will meet the Mid Beds web-team and be able to share their views and ideas about online council services with them. These ideas will then be used to develop the Mid Beds’ site to improve its usability and help promote its use to more people.
