The result of the Flitwick East by election, held on Thursday 1 May are available below:

Councillor Les Thompson retains the seat for the Liberal Democrats. The seat became vacant last year following the death of Councillor John Watton. The turnout, at 36%, was as high as that for the full election for the council that took place in May 2007.
