The government is looking at two options for unitary councils in Bedfordshire.
It has indicated that it would prefer two unitary councils and that it is not minded to go with the option of one large county unitary.
We believe that Central Bedfordshire is the best way forward in providing value for money for residents and tax payers. It will not mean a cut in services nor an increase in council tax.
