‘Pride Of Place’ Poll Launched For Mid Beds

Vote For Your Local Town Hot Spot!

What is your favourite place in Mid Bedfordshire? Is it a well-loved building, parkland or a museum? Where do you take visitors when you want to show off your home patch? What sums up the spirit of the area?

You are invited to take part in the ‘Pride of Place’ poll. The poll is easy, fun and a great way to get to know your local area in more detail! To cast your vote, simply visit this website: www.ukprideofplace.com/promo/ and select Mid Bedfordshire from the list.

We’ve got the ball rolling by picking some of the major attractions in the area:

  • The Lodge - Sandy
  • Forest Centre and Marston Vale
  • Woburn Safari Park
  • The Shuttleworth Collection
  • Moggerhanger Park
  • Wrest Park
  • Woburn Abbey
  • Swiss Garden
  • Ampthill Park
  • The Greensand Ridge

The Pride of Place poll is part of the Government’s “Connect to your Council” campaign that aims to encourage citizens across England to access their local authority services online anytime, anywhere. Citizens can now use council websites to find out anything from planning information to applying for school places. Find out more at www.direct.gov.uk

The Pride of Place poll is part of a nation-wide initiative, and can be accessed until 30 November 2007 after which the results will be released.
