Corporate Improvement Plan
The council’s Corporate Improvement Plan will form part of a tripod of performance management tools that ensures all aspects of the council’s improvement plans, services and projects are well managed. This plan therefore complements the Corporate Work Plan and our performance management system.
The Management Team are constantly monitoring our progress to identify where there is a need for intervention with service improvement across the authority.
Through constant monitoring and planning we can meet our short term objective of being a good authority, and the next steps required to deliver excellence in customer service.
The Improvement Plan is set out by independent review subject matter:
- CIP Annual Governance Report 2005 06
- CIP Communication and Consultation Strategy
- CIP Cultural Services Inspection
- CIP Internal Audit Fundamental Recommendations
- CIP Investors in People
- CIP Risk Management Follow Up
- CIP Use of Resources Assessment
Comprehensive Performance Assessment
The Comprehensive Performance Assessment (CPA) process involves a thorough review by inspectors from the Audit Commission on behalf of the Government into the strengths and weaknesses of local authorities. Mid Beds underwent a CPA reassessment from 16-20 April 2007. The aim of the CPA process is to provide a sound basis for future improvement planning. Any areas of weakness identified by the Audit Commission following our reassessment will be incorporated into future Improvement Plans.
