Making a Complaint or Compliment

This area provides you with information to enable you to make a complaint or compliment regarding Mid Beds services.

We want to know when we get things wrong

At Mid Beds District Council we aim to provide people with the best possible service.  However sometimes we get it wrong.  If you have a complaint about any of the services we provide, please tell us. We will do our best to put things right and make sure the same thing does not happen again to you or someone else.

We would also like to know if we have done things well.  We will use the information to improve other services and will make sure our staff know when they are appreciated.

How to complain

It is always worth trying to resolve problems first of all by raising them with the person you have been dealing with.

Alternatively complaints can be made by the following methods:

  • completing our on line complaints form.  This is a quick and easy method of submitting a complaint.  Once you click the “submit feedback” button(link) the on-line form will be sent automatically to the Council
  • filling out our “Complaints and Compliments” leaflet – copies are available at Priory House and at the Local Points of Presence in Ampthill and Biggleswade.  You can also request a copy of the form via email
  • submitting your complaint in writing to the Corporate Complaints Manager, Mid Beds District Council, Priory House, Chicksands, Shefford, Beds, SG17 5TQ.  We will need the following information to investigate your complaint:-
  • your name;
  • where and how we can contact you;
  • the details of your complaint;
  • what you want us to do to put things right; and
  • whether you have raised this issue with us before and, if so, who was dealing with it
