Introduction:
Mid Beds District Council, in partnership with Flitwick Town Council and Bedfordshire County Council, and a number of landowners have been working together to develop proposals for Flitwick town centre.
Following public consultation on proposals in November/December 2007 (the results are set out in the Public Consultation Report (January 2008) ), further studies have been commissioned to respond to some of the issues and concerns raised. The studies are:

- Retail Opportunity Study by consultants Brown and Lee, March 2008

Committee Reports:
Executive Committee 18 June 2008 - Mid Beds District Council’s Executive agreed to approve a Planning Framework and Indicative Masterplan for Flitwick Town Centre Development as technical guidance to the Adopted Local Plan. (to follow)
Planning Framework and Indicative Masterplan (PFM) - *revised version now available*
A revised version of the Planning Framework and Indicative Masterplan (PFM) (pdf 2.4Mb) was considered and approved by the Council’s Executive on 18 June 2008.
The previous version of the PFM - 'Draft Planning Framework and Masterplan' - is available here (pdf 3.2MB); this sets out the elements which will guide future development in the town centre. This exciting new scheme includes new retail units and homes, a new railway station car park, a transport interchange and community facilities.
