Achieving Quest
Quest, the UK Quality Scheme for Sport and Leisure was launched in September 1996. Initially aimed at Sport and Leisure Facility Management, it was extended into Sport Development in 1999, to meet the demand for a structured approach to the continuous improvement in Sport Development Services.
Quest is an industry standard developed by Sport England and measures specific elements of sport development work including research, management, customer services, partnership working etc.
Quest is the only national Standard framework, agreed by the Sport Development Industry, which helps organisations:
- Assess their own performance
- Judge their progress
- Plan and implement improvements
Quest Insepection Scores (2001-2006)
- 2006 = 70%
- 2004 = 66% (3rd highest most improved score)
- 2001 = 61%
These results clearly demonstrate a continued improvement since the very first inspection in 2001, which has resulted in an overall increase of 9% within a five year period.
