How can I get a proxy vote?
A proxy is someone appointed by an elector to vote on their behalf. (Permanant Proxy voting can only be used in certain circumstances.) A temporary Proxy Vote is available for one election only.
It is also possible for the person voting on your behalf (the proxy) to vote by post; but they need to first register as a proxy voter, then request to vote by post.
For further information please contact our Electoral Helpline on 01462 611231 or 01462 611041 or click here for an application form.
Please do not to leave things to the last minute, Statutory Regulations state when votes may be posted out and give a strict timescale when votes can be accepted back. Allow plenty of time for the ballot paper to be delivered to you and for you to return it by post.
Please apply as early as possible and make sure to include your telephone number so we can contact you if there are any problems.
