How can I make a Complaint, Comment or Compliment about a Council Service?
Complaints, comments and compliments...
At Mid Beds District Council we endeavour to provide people with the best possible service.
But in order to do this we need to know exactly what you think, be it good, bad or in general. By highlighting any problem areas, or giving us praise where praise is due, you will help us to provide the service you expect.
If you wish to make a Complaint:
We know that sometimes you may feel that our service has not lived up to your expectations and we would like you to tell us if this happens. Unless we know of any complaints we are unable to put things right.
If you need any help in making your complaint, please let us know. Anyone can make a complaint on your behalf, as long as they have your permission to do so.
If you make a complaint, we will acknowledge it within 10 working days.
In most cases we will send a full reply within the 10 working days. If not we will tell you why and let you know when you can expect a full reply and give you a name to contact.
If you have made a complaint but are still dissatisfied...
If you are unhappy with the way we have dealt with your complaint you can make a further complaint to The Local Government Ombudsman (link to external website - opens in new window)
The Local Government Ombudsman is an independent person who investigates allegations of maladministration causing injustice to the person who has complained.
The Ombudsman investigates complaints about most council matters including housing, planning, education, social services, and council tax.

No. 2 Westwood Way
Westwood Business Park
