How can I help to promote youth issues?
There are different ways in which you can promote youth issues, youth projects and positive images of young people.
www.funkeemunkee.co.uk is an exceptional, award winning website maintained by ASC for young people in Mid Beds. It is packed full of information on projects, youth clubs, sports provision, things to do, information on subjects such as alcohol, drugs, health matters and is very happy to have articles sent to them for inclusion on the website.
Hurricane is a newsletter for young people in Mid Beds, created by Mid Beds District Council. It goes out to over 500 young people every issue, is free and contains information about youth issues, local youth projects, national campaigns and things to do for young people.
Horizon and the local press are also good ways to share information with a wide range of people - either as success stories articles, or to highlight an issue which young people are helping to combat, or to look for support/help for a project or campaign.
