Closer to communities…capacity to deliver
Mid and South Beds District Councils have submitted a joint bid to the Government to create a Unitary Authority – Central Bedfordshire to cover the Mid and South Beds areas and to compliment Bedford Borough Council's bid for Unitary status.
A Unitary Central Bedfordshire would be responsible for both existing district and county council services within the current Mid and South Beds boundaries. More information on our proposal can be viewed by following this link:
