How much will Citizone PoPs cost?

The combined capital budget for the two Citizone PoPs is £393,000 and each one will cost about £100,000 each year to run. Mid Beds and Beds County Council are sharing the capital costs 50/ 50.

Mid Beds will be relocating some voluntary organisations from another property owned by the council into the same building as the Ampthill Citizone PoP. Mid Beds could then decide to sell that other property which will then be vacant. The proceeds from that sale are expected to meet most, if not all, Mid Beds share of the total capital cost of the Citizone PoPs.

To begin with the two councils will also share equally the running costs of the Citizone PoPs. Over time we will keep information on the number of customer transactions which the PoPs perform for each council and apportion costs accordingly.
