Where can I get a food licence?

Licences are required for certain butchers shops for which there is an annual fee of £100. Also some premises also have to be approved, but these tend to be larger food producers/producers of specific food groups e.g. meats, dairy etc.

Licenses are not required to run other food business but there is a requirement for food businesses to register with the Local Authority at least 28 days before opening. Registration is free and can be done by completing a form.
