Welcome to the Environmental Services homepage. As part of the directorate of Environmental and Planning Services we deliver a wide range of services relating to Environmental Health and Housing issues. The three teams working to provide these services, dealing with businesses and members of the public are as follows:

Houses in Multiple Occupation

Intruder Alarms
Filthy and Verminous Properties
Drainage (Not Land Drainage)
Caravans and Mobile Homes
Emergency Planning
Public Health Burials and Exhumations

We aim to respond to most Complaints/Requests for Service within either 24 hours or 3 working days depending on their urgency. For further details on our response times please click on the appropriate download.

As we operate under a legal framework, we sometimes have to take enforcement action to ensure that risks to health, safety, welfare or the environment are removed or reduced.
