Radon

Radon is a natural radioactive gas which seeps into buildings from minute amounts of uranium that are present in all rocks, soils, brick and concrete.

Radon levels within the district are relatvely low compared with other regions of the UK such as the South West, East Midlands, Derbyshire, and Wales, however, there are some slight "hot spots" within the district which can be viewed on the Radon map for our area.
