Large scale emergencies rarely occur but when they do they can have a huge effect on people’s lives.

By planning ahead it is possible to reduce the effects and lessen the impact such events can cause. The aim of Bedfordshire and Luton Local Resilience Forum (BLLRF) is to ensure that the communities of Bedforshire and Luton are as resilient as possible to to the consequences of an emergency situation or event.

The Local Resilience Forum pulls together all the responders you would expect to be involved in the response to an emergency to assess the risk of emergencies occuring, plan multi-agency responses to emergencies, train responders and test plans.

The Local Resilience Forum also provides advice on what YOU can do to 'Get Ready'  for emergencies- whether as an individual, family or business.
