Parking Enforcement
Traffic Regulation Orders are enforced by the contractor (Vinci Park Services (UK) Ltd, on behalf of Mid Beds District Council, please click on the following link for further information Traffic Regulation Orders. These are mainly:
- Single yellow lines (with or without loading restrictions)
- Double yellow lines
- Time limits to ensure a turnover of vehicles
- Spaces reserved for specific vehicles or motorists e.g. taxis or disabled badge holders
They are used to:
- Reduce accidents
- Maintain traffic flow
- Allow loading and unloading
- Maintain access for specific road users
- Aid and promote public transport services
- Prevent parking in unsuitable areas
If you would like to report vehicles parking on yellow lines please contact 01462 611212 or email parking@midbeds.gov.uk, make a note of the day, time, location and vehicle. This information will be passed to the Parking Attendants and they will issue a Penalty Charge Notice if vehicle is seen to be contravening the traffic regulation order.
Contact the police for traffic problems, they will remain responsible for:
Moving traffic offences Vehicles causing an obstruction or left in a dangerous position (eg parked on the pavement without yellow lines on the road) Offences with endorsable penalty points (e.g. zig-zag markings)The Parking Attendants will have no jurisdiction over obstruction offences.
