Methods of Payment
Direct Debit - If you have a bank or building society account, Direct Debit is the easiest way to pay your bills. We will let you know your instalment date/s and amounts at least 14 days before the first payment is due. The Direct Debit guarantee also means that if we make a mistake with your Direct Debit you can get an immediate refund.
To set up a Direct Debit without the need to complete a form, telephone the Revenues Section on 01462 611191.
To download an instruction to complete, select the link on the bottom of this page, or complete the instruction in your payment book.
Please continue to pay as normal until you are told that the Direct Debit has been set up.
Credit/Debit Card - You can either visit one of the Citizone Points of Presence in Ampthill or Biggleswade or pay via the telephone; 01462 611200
By post - Make your cheque or postal order payable to Mid Beds District Council. Please write your reference number on the back and send it to Priory House, Monks Walk, Chicksands, Shefford Beds SG17 5TQ
At our Citizone Points of Presence - Payment can be made by cheque, postal order or credit/debit cards (not cash) at either:
The Old Courthouse Woburn Street, Ampthill or The Old Courthouse Saffron Street, Biggleswade. These offices are open from 8:45am to 5:00pm (Monday to Thursday) and 8:45am to 4:00pm Friday.

At a bank or post office - There may be a charge for this service. Your payment must reach us by the due date of your instalment, so please allow 7 working days for the payment to reach us.
Telephone/Internet banking - Please ensure you quote your Business Rates reference number. The Council's bank details are;
