For the first time people living and/or working in Mid Beds will be able to join a Credit Union. Thanks to funding from Aragon Housing Association, Beds County Council and Mid Beds District Council, the Credit Union in Bedford will extend into the whole of Mid Bedfordshire. End of Latest News

We work with external partners and our colleagues across the Council to try and ensure the Council’s services are accessible and appropriate. We are also signed up to the Bedfordshire and Luton Compact which aims to improve the relationship and understanding between the statutory, voluntary and communty sectors.

We give financial support to eight Key Voluntary Sector Partner organisations who work with us to improve quality of life and contribute to the community planning agenda. For more information about these partners see the Key Partners page. We also work with the Bedfordshire Primary Care Trust and other Mid Beds organisations on the Healthy Living Initiative, a five year project to improve health and wellbeing across the district.
