The Beds and Luton Compact
Mid Beds District Council is proud to have been one of the first to sign up when over 100 local organisations came together at the Rufus Centre, Flitwick on 19 September 2002 to launch the Beds and Luton Compact, a partnership agreement based on jointly agreed values and designed to help statutory, voluntary and community organisations understand each others need and work more closely together.
In July 2004 Codes of Good Practice which underpin the Compact principles were produced. These cover the following areas:
- Consultation and Partnership
- Equality and Diversity
- Funding
- Volunteering
- Monitoring and Mediation
For copies of these documents and the Compact itself, please contact Mark Smith at CVS - Mid and North Beds on 01234 354366 or visit their website on www.cvsmidandnorthbeds.org.uk
